miss the gates ?

in feb of 2005 an artists who had been trying to get the project funded for 25 years put up these gates around central park. it was phenomenal. 7,000 gates if i remember right...

it was great to have something so optimistic in the city. everyone went to see them over the 2 weeks. everyone talked about them.

perhaps we could have something every year in the park. something that everyone can go to and take a winter walk through the park.
